the SRO car had a few 11 second passes all motor
and the big names that usually go to CMI were at NIRA in palmdale... however Dr Charles from Atomic Performance was driving one of the rides so that was dope to see too...

actually schel....our best time in nirmals car was 11.8 and our trap speeds were about 120mph. We had traction issues all day off the line. We qualified #3 for the quick8 and made it to the semi finals where dr charles beat us with a 10.9 pass. Good shit Charles! Considering this was the cars first real day at the track, and the first time our Driver: Coleman Yee took the wheel. The car is definately capable of mid to low 11's....we ran an 11.9 @ 105 mph....losing 15 mph due to interooler piping blowing off....and the car coasted past the finish. COngratulations to Nirmal....you did it.....SVP 11 sec club street driven...to and from the track!
hey schel it was good talkin to ya yesterday by the way!

the sparkle blue del sol belongs to Eric Tong who is the younger brother of Norman Tong from Dimensional 1. much props to him for finally working out the bugs and getting the car to post good times in show fashion. also much props to the competition in the final rounds of the Quick 8 and Fast 8. haven't seen that kinda close action for a while. we should have more of these kinds of races featuring the NorCal peeps so that we can have a chance at competing against each other instead of those from LA who are way beyond NorCal racers. this should motivate people to get their cars faster and faster. if we compete with LA all the time, some people may get discouraged since they(LA) seem to have it all together as well as the hookups and industry.

For people who don't know Nirmals run was at only 18 pounds of boost. The motor can handle 20+ easy. When we get the suspension dialed in and a spool drive installed the car will run low 11's. Congratulations to Nirmal, Coleman, and SVP for making this possible.....

Lets not forget to thank Joel, Wee, Harvey, and myself, people who actually worked on that car. No offense.

I'm not from D1, nor are my views in anyway related to theirs. My comment is on a more personal note. I feel that SVP shouldn't be trying to take credit for building that car, and you know thats true. But, don't think I'm hating on you guys. SVP had a lot of fast cars out there on sunday, that is undeniable. We as Northern Cali's top racers need to get our shit more together, so we won't be dominated by So Cal at our own track.
btw...
The Quick 8 line up was more like this
#1 eddie chong (green crx)
#2 dr. charles (atomic)
#3 Fhu G (D1 Crx)
#4 Nirmal (Integ)
#5 Andy (Civic)
#6 Joe Lin (D1 Civic)
#7 ??? ???
#8 Mary G (Civic)

NO on ever took any credit for building nirmals car? Where are you getting that from? I can in fact say that i have helped Nirmal greatly along the way during the buildup. I have known Nirmal long before his car was ever even complete and he is one of my closest friends. I took the opportunity to congratulate him, no more no less.

the yellow type-r made the fast 8 ..i cant remember the times i think his fastest was a 12.5 but dont quote me on that...and the black type-r ran also but i dont remember any times for that one..... and i would like to add that no one ever took credit for nirmals car.. i know who is responsible for building it... i also know who dicked with him and why it took so long to build it...mad props nirmal its been a long time coming... and you got your 11's and to all invovled in making that car move... much props...i think if the car sees the track again we could be looking at low 11's high 10's... daily driven..its gonna need a cage...haha

SVP never once took credit for the buildup of the car . Without SVP the day at the track probably wouldn't of happened. SVP helped so much making it possible. Thats why Nirmal now runs the SVP name, which I hope to soon. I can't stand it when someone has to rain on our parade. Mad props to all that was involved. Look out for a green 95 coupe coming to your town soon Nirmal&Joel project 2001!!! Don't hate congratulate!!!!!!!Joel.

Joel,
I wasn't meaning to rain on anyones parade. The fact is I didnt know Got Skills is your Sn, and as you can see the first person I mentioned was your name because Nirmal always tells me what a great help you've been to him. Honestly this is a bunch of petty BS, it's just that I've been there before where I've went out of my way to help my friends and many times it goes unnoticed and unrewarded. I'm not sure if you know what I've done for that car, but believe me I'm as happy as you are to see it run a good time. Nevertheless, much props goes out to you and Nirmal for building a fast street car.

True... It is a bunch of petty BS... I see what your getting at... Thanks for being such a major part of this project... Without your experience in tuning the speedpro Nirmals car wouldn't be what it is now...
