Here's my situation. I have the 91 Sentra SE-R. I put on the following:

205/40/17 rims and tires
H&R Sport Springs Lowered 1.5 Inches
Found out Shocks are blown.

Since I lowered it, it's a pretty harsh ride. I want a smoother ride. what do you think i should do?

1.) Order H&R OE springs, that don't lower the car but are a little stiffer, and new shocks

2.) just order new shocks.

3.) Order new shocks, and trade your 17's for some 15's with 50 series tires.

what's your guys thoughts?

New shocks will help a lot. if you said you had the H&R race springs, I'd belive the ride would be a little stiff, but the Sport springs are nothing. Your harsh ride is due to the blown dampers. Id say replace them with something more performance oriented.

What do you have on the 944?

I have koni yellows on the 944. the rear uses torsion bars and the fronts have 250 pound springs.

what are you intending to use the car for?

Mostly just for handling. I was very surpised. After I put on the new wheels it can hang turns very well. with no shocks or springs. My wife wants to drive the car to work sometimes, so i'd like to have a better ride quality, and still be able to hang turns in it.

KYB adjustable shox and some 15's or 16's with 50 or 55 series sidewall...

KYB AGX or Koni Sports will be a decent compromise, with the AGX being nicer on the wallet. I would keep the H&Rs the way they are and just concentrate on dampers
