anyone have one installed in their GSR yet?

cause i got mine a couple days ago and i've called some shops on what ill need to install it into my 2000GSR.
some shops say new gasket, and longer coolant hose(i know this is true) but i dont know why i would need a new gasket
also one shop told me that the throttle body is a couple mm smaller than the intake manifold. would it really matter? HELP PLEASE!!!!i wanna get this thing installed...thanks

basically when ever you change the manifolds you should get a new gasket, cause the old one is probably old already... what year is your car? oh well i don't really know why but thats what everyone says, and you'll need a torque wrench cause your suppose to torque it at a specific lbs

basically you have everything right, about hte intake manifold gasket, yorus might still be new, but i woudl change it just to ensure i have a perfect seal, and so i woudlnt have to take off hte whole assembly again if it doenst seal, sometimes intake manifold gaskets will seal itself to the manifold and hte head so when you rip it off it will tear apart, i would spend hte extra 20$ or so for the gasket, and have it all done right the first time. the GSR throttle body IS a few MM smalle rthan the ITR, yet you can still use it, no doubt, even through its smaller it wont do any better or worse in performance, an ITR throttle body is a few MM bigger than the GSR, you might want to look into getting your throttle body bored out bigger to compliment the ITR manifold. also for a skunk 2 manifold youll need a new throttle cable bracket i forgot which one but it should say on the instructions. later

installing a skunk2 manifold on a gsr won't need a new bracket...

the bracket goes wid the TB...

i don't think u need to replace any of the gaskets because ure car is 2000 rite??? unless u rip it while taking out the old manifold...

about the TB being a little smaller...that is it true...but i don't think it matters because my car turned up ok...but i'm getting a 66mm TB so i didnt really care...

i don't think u need to torque the intake manifold nuts...

i have a skunk2 manifold in my car and it really works...
specially when u change ure oil...u don't need to get the filter from under the car...:D
