I'm looking into adding the extra gear. Just wondering if anyone on here has a T-56 in there stang. Any information about where, how much, and how the install went would be apperciated. I heard two sides so far to converting to the T-56 and just wanted some first hand information. Thanks

D&D motorsports has them with the bell housing and all. I got my rebuild kit from there and they were very helpful.

someone mention 6-speed? heh yea i got a 6-speed. D&D is where i got mine. it's good shit. gear ratios are a lot closer too you don't drop out of the powerband. make sure you get a Hurst 6-speed shifter for it to, the gears will be close as any car you can find.
Woah I didn't know LTWhat you had a T-56 did you install it yourself?!

no, i didn't. i was told i had to shorten the driveshaft so i didn't want to mess with it. but from looking at it they didn't shorten it at all....which i was pissed about. i woulda just done it myself.

Umm...how'd they pull that one off? The T-56 is longer than the T-5. You really do have to trim the driveshaft...I don't get it, either...
I don't have a Fox platform Mustang, but I do highly recommend the T-56 swap. :)
