Well I am new to the board. I am usually on the Hayabusa.org board. I came across this board and it had some very interesting stuff posted on here so I though I would give it a try. I have not had a good kill for about 3 months but I can tell ya about that one. I was on the 105 frwy in Los Angeles making a transition to the 110 toward Down Town. Anyway, it was about 5:45 in the morning and I was crusing about 70 mph. All of a sudden this idoit on a zx11 decides to do a fly by at full throttle. I have to admit I was not ready for that and I nearly jumped out of my skin. I shouted "Holy Shit" in my helmet. I noticed he slowed up a bit after he passed so I lay down the hammer. As I was approaching him I see him tuck and down shift and hit the throttle. But by then it was to late and I blew right by him. I left it at full throttle for what seemed to be about 10 seconds and looked behind in the mirror and was sure I was going to see him as a little speck in the mirror. But to my suprise he was only about 8-10 bike lenghts back. We eventually hit traffic and had to shut down in a hurry. The most scary thing about the story is that we were in the car pool lane which was open but the regular traffic was jammed packed to a crawl. So we are hitting about 160 mph in the car pool lane with stopped traffic right next to us and the only thing seperating us it the car pool lines. I was also praying that none of the cars jumped over onto the carpool lane like some do over the lines. After it was over and I arrived at work I thought about how dumb I was to do that. The last thing I want to do is end up on the news like so many others. Anyway if it were not for the traffic it was a good run.

Lol. I was wondering the exact same thing.

Although 160 in the carpool lane with a 120+ speed differential between everyone else is asking for some apple pie ala darwin, I think.

Got into another race. On the way home from a friends house tonight. I was in Fullerton at the intersection of Imperial Hwy. and Harbor. I was on imperial heading toward Beach blvd. As I pulled away from the light I see my small review MC lights coming pretty fast. I just rolled on a bit so he would not past me too fast. as he started passing me I noticed he was on a GSXR1000. I could not help myself so I down shifted and hit the throttle hard. I had to lean pretty well forward to keep the front end on the ground I did pass him but he was right behind me the whole time I was suprised to see him in the mirror that close. We went pretty far for a street race. For those of you who know that section of Imperial hwy. We shut down a little before Idaho Street. We passed that 76 gas station about 3/4 of a mile before that on the right side at around 150mph. I was praying to god that there were no cops hanging out on that side street right there or in the parking lot of the 7 Eleven. My heart was pumping more from the thought of a cop near by than the race itself. After we passed Idaho street he came up next to me and gave me a thumbs up. Damn, it is something about speed I love that I cant stop twisting that throttle every chance I get.

I have a full muzzy, TRE, K&N, Air box mod, Dyno Tuned PC2, Re Geared, Braided lines, and NOS amoung other things.

Good kill i guess but you should really try to keep your top speed bursts to a place like a track becaus eeventually cops are going to be the least of your worries

I gotta tell ya guys what happend to me this morning. I was at the intersection of Telegraph and Painter I think it was. For those of you who know I was heading toward the 605 on Telegraph. I think it is the city of Santa Fe Springs. Anyway, I was stopped at the light and this 2g Eclipse lowered, nice rims, blacked out windows and a huge wing came up next to me. He was reving the hell out of his engine as he pulled up next to me. I thought to myself WTF. So I told myself that when the light turns green I will lay down the hammer. Then I noticed a bit down on the left side there was an opening and a cop car was watching traffic there. I looked over to this guy and thought I would be nice and point to the cop to warn him and I guess he thought I motioned to race. Well, The light turned green and he left burning rubber through the intersection. He probably thought he won and was feeling good until he seen the cop car on the left side and tried to slow down but he was going way to fast. You know the rest of the story.
