Tranny type?

I was lookin for a engine swap and ive noticed that there are different tranny types a hydro and a cable and thats all i noticed but wut is the difference?how do u tell which car has which type? and wut kind does the 92 civic dx have?

those are clutches, not trannies. Hydraulic pressure (fluid) is used, other than a mechanical cable. Personally id prefer mechanical, but there are good things about a hydraulic setup

92 and up civic's come's with a Hydraulic tranny and 89 and 91 civic's come's with a cable tranny
