I may be getting a Saturn SC1, but there is one problem with the car. The color of the car is purple. Since I am a guy and not a fan of purple I wanted to know where is a good place to get a basic paint job and how much. I just want a paint job that is much like the factory paint job for the Saturn or Honda civic's or anyother cheap car. I won't prime the car becuase I don't know how to and two I don't have the gurage to do such work. Lastly I would need the paint job done in two days and at most three days. I can't be borrowing my dads IS300 to goto night school and to work. Also I live in Fullerton, California. If you don't know where that is, just do a search for Cal State Fullerton. ;)

P.S If your wondering what color I am going to get, its red and most probably the factory red that was avaible for the SC1

If your not too woried about quality, earl scheib can get you taken care of for around 400, and get you out in a day, if you come in early.

there was a big thread about earl scheib recently, check it out.

i'm in la habra, just up the street. i've had good results with both eal shieb and maaco. eal shieb is more well know but maaco has more colors to pick from on thier lower level paint jobs. also earl will charge extra for door jams and maaco sometimes includes them in thier package so be sure to ask about that. both places can get it in and out in 2 days, and they are open on saturday morning if that helps. if the body is straight(resonably) you can just do some of the prep yourself and you will be amazed by the results. I have been to the eal shieb on whittier bl. in la habra and the maaco on imperial.

Some of the easy prep work you can do that will save you greif in the end is tapeing up your head and tail lights, and mirrors once you get there. If you have aftermarket rims, make sure they get covered too. when my car got painted, i think they taped off the rim, but not the tires, so i had blue rubber(at least in the grooves) until i got new tires.
