Hey Guys, I have this wastegate on my 97 Eclipse RS and it limits my boost to 7lbs. My question is when i install my Blitz SSBC controller will I still be limited to 7lbs, if i want to set my HI setting a lil' higher than 7lbs will it raise up....if not do I need to get a whole different wastegate?

The bost controller will go inline of the hose going to your wastegate. keeping it closed longer, although the wastegate is set for 7 PSI the boost controller is designed to fool the wastegate into thinking the turbo has not reached 7 PSI yet. So the wastegate remains closed until the boost controller reaches the boost you have set, at that time it sends enough air to the wastegate to open it. Now depending on the boost controller you are using (manual or electronic) this can either happen by rapidly opening and closing the boost solenoid (electronic) or by bleeding off the excess pressure to the atmosphere or manifold (manual) I prefer the electronic units over the manual for reliability issues.

Thanks for the reply Camel, The Blitz SSBC I have is an electronic controller. I like the electonic ones to mainly for convinence(i spell that right?)in ****pit tuning. Later.

Happy Boosting!
