View Full Version : Scion TC What are your thoughts?
The New Scion TC it looks great. Reviews are looking good, I've been reading up on this thing and the more I read about it, the more I want it. It's way under 20gs. I can have my truck paid off mid next year or close to it and trade it in for this Scion. I dunno would you people drive a car like this, what are your thoughts on it?
Personally I think you should get whatever car you want. The price is good, and I'm sure it's a nice car to drive around in, and the only thing I really find wrong with it appearance-wise is that the front end looks a bit plain, but it's definately a step away from the sheer ugliness of the Xa and the Xb.
For a daily driver, it seems like it would be alright :thumbup
I agree with you, the Xa and XB are hideous, I don't know how people can drive around in those things. Especially the one that looks like a cereal box, I want to puke everytime I see one. Of course I'd have to get that thing in a manual transmission. The price is pretty good, starting is only 16,645 around there.

it's kinda on that fine line between sporty and economy. I personally think it has a bit too much economy and it probably won't handle that well stock. It would make a decent driver though, 16 grand is pretty cheap for a reliable car that can also at least get out of its own way.

the Tc is fine for what it is: a cheap, sporty-LOOKING, economy car. fwiw, scion just rated near the bottom of the barrel in the jd power initial quality survey, surprising since it is a toyota brand.
There's been a huge debate about this ofer on Focaljet, and it looks like it would make a pretty damn fun weekend racer. There is a Vortech/TRD supercharger available under factory warranty, and the motor puts out some nice numbers stock.
You put a good suspension on one, plus the TRD blower, and you'll have a pretty quick open track car.
Any other thoughts, I'm really starting to want one now....
The article I read said that there will be a TRD blower to bring it up to 200hp (from 168). And a 300hp TRD package is being worked on. Both will be covered under the factory warranty.

Jesus a 300hp TRD supercharged pacakage? Holy hell I would definetly have to save for that and if it's under factory warrenty that's a definite plus. That thing would kick some serious ass. :gamer:
