Ok, so Ive been collecting parts for my engine and Ive waited about a year for my friend to help me build this engine. I took the engine to get an align bore job done and we put the engine together (hes an expert so hes not the problem) the engine runs for 30 second and then seazes at the rear main bearing. I AM ABOUT TO HIT THE ROOF!!!!!!! We suspect that it was a bad job but how do we prove it. It ripped out the dowell pin hole and the only alternative is to get a new case (300 bucks). The bearing is burned to hell and back but thank god it didnt damage the crank. What the hell should I do?

umm so did you guys check the bearing clearances? if they checked out were the journals round? if you didnt check it you can yell and holler and scream and maybe get somewhere but really they may just call it an assembly error. if you checked it and it was bad they could fix it but now its been run so..

they wont refund it. We figured we wouldnt have to. Everything on the engine was perfect. Its a mom and pop place so it wont make a difference if I scream at them
