Killed an NSX last nite!!!

Last night cruising home from the shark game in my buddies 89LX I noticed a pair of blueish lights coming up pretty quick. We are on the el camino now just cruising in fourth gear on the way back to my house and at first I thought it was a vette, but once I realized what it was (black NSX) I knew I had to race this guy. So we are just pacing each other and I knew that he wanted to go because he slowed down right when he got to my back bumper. So at el camino and scott we both drop a few gears and I'm in second going hella slow and then we both gunned it and I was gone. Right when I got on it he was already back a few car lengths and I was pulling him pretty hard all the way to fourth gear. Anyways he catches up and I roll down the window and he wants to go again and told me to follow him. So I'm behind him as we turn left onto san tomas from el camino and he gets on it still as I'm turning so once I'm on san tomas I go after him and start pulling closer with the quickness then benton street comes up and after that theres a few twisty turns so I back off, but keep up with the NSX and once we hit a straight away I go flying by him as if he was standing still. Put at least 8 cars on him before backing off. So I ended up turning around at prunridge to go home and we say late to each other. I'm not sure what model it was, but it had no plates so it must of been brand new. Had some huge wheels on it. Looked sweet. Been awhile since I got in a race so it felt hella good, thought I would share this while it still fresh in my memory.

and my buddies 5.0 has a rebuilt 302 shortblock with dart 2.02 heads which are ported out, x-cam, edelbrock intake and thats about it. Oh just put a bottle on it, but didn't need it last night, LOL!

Once i was rolling on my ducatti 748s and an NSX wanted to race me...it was over by the santa clara billiards one late night. Of course, of course... i smoked the hell out of him and all i had on was a brain bucket so my face felt the wind of around a flat 11 second quarter mile... or somewhere near that. It was fun (but cold) . There has been a few times when a car tried to run me. I think it would be hella sick to smoke a superbike in a civic or somethin'...imagine the looks on peepz faces.

im sorry but a civic will never beat a superbike, well maybe, it would take hella money, but since you'll probally never see a superbike on the street, they are mainly top end, i mean they got accel out the ass, but they really peak towards mid and upper. i have seen a bike lose to a car ONCE. i was out at bailey and a black Z28 wanted to race a bike, the bike killed him outta the hole, next thing you see is the Z pullin on the bike and beating the bike. the z had hella mods and a little go juice to help him out a little.

Interesting that the 91 thru 93 post different times considering the cars are essentially identical, only changes being an added color in '92, cupholder and passenger airbag in '93. '94 went to larger wheels/tires which should slow down acceleration given the car didn't get any gearing or power advantages. The '95's and '96's should actually be a little slower than the earlier cars because the Targa top added about 100 lbs. '97 on should be a little faster as the car went from a 3.0L to a 3.2L and hp went up to 290 from 270 and got the six speed tranny.

A 3.0L coupe 0-60 between 5.03 sec and 5.4 sec. The 5.8 sec number from Motortrend in August of '91 was an Automatic, as was the earlier test Road and Track did in Aug '90 which had the car at 5.7 sec. Later cars run around 4.5 secs. 1/4 times vary greatly, have seen stock 3.0L's run between 13.5 and 13.9 stock. The stock 3.2L's run between 12.8 and 13.1 secs typically.

DAMN MAN YOU GOT A DUC? WHAT COLOR RED OR YELLOW? SINGLE SEAT OR DUAL? THE 748 S IS THE ONE WITH 5 SPOKE RIMS RIGHT? I WAS GONNA GET ONE BUT TOO MUCH MONEY. IT WAS LIKE BUYING A 2001 GSR. I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO STICK TO A 2001GSXR 600.
