custom seats

my friend has a 88 astro van and he insists on "pimping his ride" so I said ill help. all experience is good experience. he wants to put a custom sofa/loveseat kinda thing in teh back of the van,something kinda low to the ground. I've seen some kinda foam that they use to make custom hot rod seats, is this what I would use? If so where do I find some? Also how would i get the seat covered?

From what i've seen on t.v. it is time consuming and expensive. Why not have someone make it for you??

Look in the yellow pages under Auto Upholstry. if you want to make a couch or bench that is actually pretty easy. a saw and some plywood can get you the frame, and then just have it upholstered

thanks man, i figured i make two peices seat and back rest then attach em with a reliable lever thing liek trucks have, how would I do that? and where would i get the hinge?
