I just got a free front bumper from a friend but its got some cracks on it... and its black, my car is white...

just wondering if there is a site out there with some DIYs on filling the cracks and taking off the paint...

i know somebody is going to say soemthing like use bondo...i know, but i just need some DIYs on like waht kind of bondo (I saw like 2-3 different ones i dotn know which one-its a fiberglass kit BTW), what to do after i apply it, what kind of sand paper i use to sand it down, just stuff like that, i have no clue about anything that is about body work so i need some tips. Especially on how to take the paint off too...

thanks a lot

There was actually a good book i picked up from the local book store on body work for the beginner... i dont remember the name but that would be a good start for you.

fiberglass work is actually a little more complex then straight up bondo work, so I definately recommend reading up on it before you jump into it.

I wouldn't use bondo; use fiberglass. Bondo makes a fiberglass product that goes on just like regular bondo does, its just brown/green instead of red/pink.
