Finally, something positive! I prefer that people who "street race" would not be drinking very often, cause, well, that can cause problems when they decide to go for a ride. People who drink and drive should be SHOT!

I'm sober and feelin' fine. I agree about drunk drivers though. If you are drinking, stay off the damn roads.

Just because we drink, does not mean we are in a constant state of drunkenness either....

i'll be sober until about 6 or 7 tonight ya baby. I can here my babys calling me...
Its not even worth drinking than going out to races even if you had a beer or two. Get caught racing with DUI damn that will suck big time. Plus a while back i seen poeple drinking at the runs but werent racing, losers.

That is true, but if anyone else on this board is like me, then they have the problem of spontaneous driving urges. And if you just got done drinking, that doesn't make a good combination. That is why I don't drink anymore, so I don't have to worry about that problem.

I have been a major proponent to the drunk threads around here for years; ergo it should be apparent by now that i take great pleasure in drinking. I do agree that driving drunk is definitely a bad idea and yes, i do have spontaneous driving urges when im drunk, but if it's between drinking and getting into a car and not drinking at all... i choose drinking and not getting into a car. ;)
The answer is simple; whenever you're drunk and feel like driving... drink more. :) never fails.

frankly I think "drunk threads" are stupid, if your trashed or buzzed fine, but I could care less, a lot of it seems just like cries for attention

You could say the same thing about posting on messageboards at all; blindly spouting your opinion to a bunch of stangers for no other reason than to say it...
...of course the response to that is- it's about finding people with a common interest. We are all here because in some way or another we all love cars and want to talk to other people who love cars.
The drunk thread is intended for people who enjoy drinking and getting drunk. Letting the people you frequently talk to know about your current condition is only natural. It's like when we get new cars and post up "Check out my new RIDE!!1!1" It isn't a cry for attention, you're simply excited that you got a new car and want to show it to other people who like cars and can appriciate it. Same goes for drinking.
