what maybe causing this

Okay I have a 00 neon and I recently noticed that when I first start my car it makes a grinding or clanking noise. I recently had the gear oil changed and I tought that maybe the cause, but when I depress the clutch pedal the noise stops. I can say that is takes about 5 minutes or when the car warms up before it stops. What is causing this? Any input would be appreciated.

Sounds like it. Might have under- or over-filled it, or used the wrong type of fluid or something.
