I have a urgent question. Please answer only if you know what you are talking about. This guy is selling me a 1991 carolla sr5 every thing is good for the most part. It needs a new starter and a little cleaning up but thats ok for $600. Is there anything you can tell me about this car that i should know. Does it have a future. I want to get into drifting so i know this car would be good for it. But will i be able to put any power into that small motor?

it would NOT be good for drifting, it is FWD, not RWD.
The only thing this car would be good for is driving to work/school.

For future reference, it's a Corolla. And as Disque said, it's FWD...which automatically makes it not a drift car.

What if he drives it backwards?

What if he drives it backwards?

Then it's still not a drift car.

Where did you get that from? As Dr. Disque said, the only future it has is putting around town at a normal pace. My mom used to have one of these, same year and trim and everything. The best thing that ever happened to it was it got totalled this past Sunday night. Now she'll finally get a new car.
My head used to touch the ceiling in that car when I was driving/riding in it.
And I'm only 5'12". <--- ;) :wtf:
If you actually do get this car, make sure you replace the factory radio. On the OE radio, the volume knob is so delicate that every time you hit even the smallest bump, the volume either goes way up or way down. Annoying as heck.

How many cars do you know steer with the rear wheels...it still doesn't make it a drift car...you can do reverse 180s well...that's about it.

Just because you drive a FWD car backwards, doesnt make it RWD.

$600 is not a deal if you ask me. I used to own clean one, and I mean clean without dents or stains, with an audio system on it. Sold it for $1500 about 4yrs ago. That thing was a "gutless wonder". Good for commuting though. Low maintenance required. Everything you would expect from a economy car...

I could sell you my other
car (http://www.sromagazine.com/boards/showthread.php?t=85469) for $2000 if you want real performance and drifting capabilities.

The teg is no drifter either..the corolla will never drift less you convert it to FR. The latter yes can be done (and for less than what an alltrac will cost you)..that or AWD. AWD and drift are still not so compatible terms but its closer than FF. Why do you want to drift anyway?

samse ---> keep that up and I will show you how quick it can be that you are limited to posting in purg.
