I want to buy a Bodykit for my car. I been looking thorough a lot of websites. What do you guys think about aftermarketkits.com. They have their body kits on sale for $275. I think thats good because other websites are selling them for $500 or more. I need help. Thanks

So, do you think its worth spending that money in buying that bodykit. I don't know a lot about which material is better (like fiberglass or the other materials.) It's my first car also. Its a Honda Civic. What do you think. I also don't have a lot of money to buy the expensiest one asuming that its the best.

Remember it isnt just what the kit is made out of, its also;
will the kit fit?
will it break easily?
does it look like shit?
will it fit straight?

how could a bodykit be worth 200$? its just a waste of money you could spend on making your car faster instead of trying to make it look faster, but to each his own.
Those kits are all probably made by the same two manufacturers ... most of the cheap kits in the USA are. If that's what you want you're probably getting the same thing at a cheaper price. But to correct the quick and shitty forming of the pieces, it's either going to require you to have a lot of skill or you're going to have to pay someone some heavy loot to have it done.
You need a real kit, and by real kit it's going to cost you at least a grand.

Most "authentic kits" kits cost around 800-1000 for the real ones. The ones sold on Aftermarketkits are copies of the real ones. They buy direct from the same places that most of the other bigger sites buy from, so as far as their quality it's pretty much the same as you'd find all over.

It depends on the kit. That $400 kit will be such shitty quality it'll probably take them a day to make it fit and look right. It'll also depend on whether you go to a shop that does that routinely and know how to deal with the issues or if it's a shop that rarely does flimsy glass fitment. I've seen Wings West kits that have had significant chunks need to be shaved off one place and added to others to make it look right, and Wings West is supposed to be the "better quality" American kit supplier.
Ryan, I think we said the exact same thing ... you just said it 90 minutes later.

Anyways...srry fof topic, but 275 isn't gunna get you anything worthwhile. May work the first day, second, but watch, third day....clunk..
A good bodykit will got for at least 1.5g. I mean GOOD not PRETTY GOOD or OK.

Good god, $275 for a kit. That thing is going to be a POS and you will spend more money fitting it on your car than it would have cost u to just buy a nice on in the first place. Just to put this a little in perspective for you, the authentic kits from japan like GP Sports, Vertex, INGS, etc all cost roughly $2000 for a complete kit and you are talking about $275 bucks!? You get what you pay for man and for that price it aint going to be much except a cheap materials knock-off with horrendous fitment and build quality. Keep in mind you are going to have to paint your car after you put this kit on so factor in another $2k or whatever for a good paintjob unless you plan on going the shitty Maaco route.

275 for a kit is fine i mean most designs for the civic is so generic anyways. just pick a kit that fits well. think about this way, though: the paint job is going to be like $400-$600 and if it's not a clean fit, well there's labor costs then. i think one of my boys paid 475 for a kit(back then, that was dirt cheap) and 800 for paint/install. looked damn clean although the kit wasn't the greatest. the $275 kit for the civic i can think of is the ctr lip kit or other lip kit. the lip kit is easy to paint i just sprayed mine, and they bolt on(even the knockoff versions they sell for 275). so unless things have changed so much that two whole bumpers and a pair of skirts are less than 3 bills... but anyway it's not worth it. unless its already painted and pre-drilled and been fitted.
btw most kits out there are fiberglass but lips are abs plastic or urethene. the better quality kits are made of urethene and cost more. fiberglass cracks pretty easily, but urethene i heard sags over time.
