Hey, what's happenin? Listen, i was wondering if anyone knew of any cities, counties, etc. that allow legal street racing. Now, I dont want everyone saying the 'Q' in SD...thats not street racing...I want to know what cities have cops that attend the street races to block entrances and make sure everyone is safe. I've head they do this in North FL and up in the NE. If anyone has any info on this please, let me know. Im trying to collect some information before I approach my local sheriffs department about organizing something like this. Any and all details...TIA!!!

Theres a lot more to legalizing street races then just having the support of the police...

uh, yea, they're called sanctioned drag strips. street racing is inheritly illeagle. thats half the fun.

Thanks for the useful replies *cough*...street racing is more fun because its less organized. Yes it is more fun getting away with it...but if you cant even get a decent race together at all it gets old. I just really need some actual info about semi-legal street racing in certain areas...not comments about the idea.

Yeah,actually there is legal street racing. They are held in front of the San Jose Police Department at 5:00pm every first friday of the month. Its great there is free food and prizes. Hey sometimes the cops will even tint your front windshield for you. Well hope to see you there next week.
