Need transmission advice (place to rebuild)

Anyone know of a place that can rebuild a 1971 VW auto trans out of a type3? Its a real auto, not auto stick. My friend is having a hard time finding anyone that will even look at it. Anyone know any specialty places, in eastern PA or otherwise?

well i've gotten in 6 arguements tonight so far tonight. it IS an auto, not auto stick, not anything else, just a regular automatic transmission.

get a copy of "How to Keep your VW Alive" by John Muir and crack that sucker open yourself...

Oh I know I can rebuild it, its a problem of finding the new parts required to rebuild it.
