engine bogs

after i got my b16a swap into my eg civic the car bogs, you know when you drive an automatic and when you gas it it kinda bogs a little and then boosts kinda like a turbo? well when i accelerate it slows down then shoots forward. i think it's my o2 sensor it's throwing off my ecu or something. the car might be running lean or something? but this doesn't happen all the time so ...

Sounds like your timing isn't being advanced enough for the added fuel/air that you are allowing into the engine. Also, what plugs, wires, and coil are you running. It could be that you don't have enough ignition to ignite the mixture quick enough. Before you start tossing on new o2's etc, narrow down what exactly is happening. Pull your plugs and read them, they will tell you A LOT about what is happening. Also, is there an added amount of carbon on the rear of your car, or even unburnt fuel?

thanks and i'll check my plugs when i get the chance i've just been lazy about it, i just bought ngk platinum plugs and ngk spark plug wires when i got the swap so i don't think thats the problem, i was think it might be the timing too...
