i have a crx with 1.6 single overhead with turbo and my car smokes really bad... i thought it might be that the turbo is getting too much oil... i put a compression valve on the oil hose and restricted the flow and it did absolutely nothing... i put this motor in the car a week ago... the car had the same set up before and smoked just as bad... if anyone has any idea of what it might be, please let me know... im open to any suggestions... thanks...
is there an oil coating on your turbine, or impeller.
Also is there an oil resedue on the interior of your turbo lines? You also might want to run a compression check. Like I ALWAYS reccomend, CHECK YOUR PLUGS!!! What do they tell you?

oil? Sounds like worn rings, or more likely, valve seals.

the turbo does have some oil on it... i put new plugs in the other day... the car runs rich but i think there is way too much smoke for it to be that alone... now my air/fuel gauge is going nuts so i think i need O2 sensors... i dont know if it makes a difference or not but i also have a mean @$$ fuel pump and RC injectors...
Your a/f meter is going nuts, what do you mean by that? What type of ECM is it, etc. Also, what did your old plugs look like? It's important to see what kind of buildup is on the electrodes, with that, you can tell what is happening inside your engine.

i thought it might be the head gasket but the old motor smokes just as bad as the new one... the new motor didnt smoke when it was in my other car a few weeks ago... maybe i should put the stock manifold back on and have the turbo rebuilt...
