playing with a del sol

The other night coming home from work I pull up to a light. I look over and see a red del sol with rims, alteza's and an exaust. I didn't feel like racing because first of all, I still can't drive my car that good, I was tired, and I didn't think a del sol was worth racing. The light turned green and he took off quick. I just shifted to second and proceded throught third and fourth, than he slows down and gets next to me and starts reving. Than he pissed me off, so we look at eachother, I see his car jump and I get on it in 4th at about 45mph (too lazy to downshift). The turbo took a little while to spool up, but once It did, I was out. I hit about 75 when I had like 3-4 car lengths on him and decided to slow down (I don't need a ticket a week after I got my car). After that, the dumb ass passes me hitting like 85. I experienced my 2nd ricer fly-by of the week. The other fly-by was when some stupid fuck at my job in a 240sx wanted to race when I was in my moms car which is a corolla. I took him by about 4 car lenghts on him, slowed down and he flew by me. The next day at work he said he was in neurtral at the light when I left him.

Why is he a dumb ass? Just because he wanted to race?? I guess everytime you wanna race ur a dumb ass too?? Dont criticize someone because they wanna race let them do what they wanna do, good for you that you won and all but he was just trying to have fun.

hmm.. you seem to be new here, I think you dun't know what a fly by is... :)

I'm new what is a fly by? Is that after you won, they floor it still like you are racing or what? I'm new and I have 1 year, 3 months and 11 days before I get a car (I'm 14) so I still have a long time to learn about street racing.

You kinda got the concept. It's when the race is over, actually it doesn't even matter who won (usually if you win) and then the other dude or girl zooms by you, actin like a dick or trying to be cool.

Don't talk shit you newbie. First of all, if you rev at someone and they don't rev back or not give you a sign they are down, they don't want to race as was the case with me. When he kept pulling up next to me and reving, taking of quick, slowing down and reving it pissed me off, so I had to show him what a turbo dsm is made off. With the flyby's, that really pissed me off. After you have clearly won the race and slow down, the other person fly's by you and usually puts on the hazards as if they won, than usually turn off the road.

ur TSI is faster then the del sol out the box but some delsols make good race cars with Bseries engines in them.

I think the del sol at the most was an si (125 hp stock).

actually, a few special edition del sols came with the B16 engine found on the late model Civic SI's and was rated at 160hp. The B16 has been around for a while now....it was just introduced into the civic in 1999.
