I'm driving a black '89 LX 5.0 notch. Went from a 16.2 to low 15s with some tuning, still stock. Won one race so far...got four models sellin' calanders right now.

Yeah, I had an lx and a nitrous kit and I ran a 15 but everyone else had really quick cars so I sold mine.

first of all, the car to get for a lvl 15 and below is the lotus cortina. it uses the same parts as the mustangs, but gets much lower times. secondly, race the highest net worth person you can. they give the most exp. once you are at 100% exp, you can do driver training. after you are the next lvl, you can do upgrades on the car;ie nitrous or boost upgrade. 3rd, when ppl try to race you, they can see what you have under and on the outside of the car. so go with nitrous, and/or a sc or turbo, but no intercooler. if you dont get the ic, it will say you are n/a. theres more stuff, but i have to go to work

u dont want a high networth, unless you are high enough to win the game. the higher the nw, the harder the ppl usually. import models and calendars also raise networth, so if you have alot of im's and u wanna race a dude of almost the same nw with hardly any im's his nw is probably high because he is either a higher lvl, or has more done to the car. also, dont get any car other than a lotus, old mustang, miata, or mrs. more expensive cars mean higher networth, and the three cars i mentioned are the fastest. im runnin low 8's in my lotus, and ill race a guy with a 100k more networth than me and beat him by at least 2 seconds, cause he has some expensive car like an rx7 or skyline. more tips to come

EDIT: Has everyone recieved their invites, so far?
I used to play that last year. If you want to win be prepared to spend money. One of the guys in our crew spent over 500 bucks and finished 5th :eek: Our crew finished 4th in the gold game, I was up in the top 50 in both games when it was over. I was a pretty good car thief.

That game is fun. I got pretty good at it. You can totally abuse some poor sod and screw him out of everything he has. Trouble is, it will happen to you as well sooner or later.

What is the point of the sound sytems and kits?
Sound systems increase pimp factor, which affects how many and how well you can hold on to your bitches. Kits will usually do the same and also help the handling.

tw, if you are dyno tuning or test and tuning and all a sudden someone wants to race you, dont. you will lose. there are peeps who prowl the list of users online, and when your status says dyno or t and t, they can see your hp or best et. so if they try and race u, they probably looked and saw that they had more power or better et's than you

get a dsm and lose. this isnt real world. a dsm will run 10's with the best stuff on it, with every level upgrade, but an mrs with the same stuff will run 7's. and stealing is hard. it isnt who gives more credits, its the right amount. every game it changes. its not 500 and 500. sometimes its 100 and 65 or 170 and 210. theres a certain combination

im tellin ya. the fastest and most tuneable for lvl 0-15 is the cortina. after that, u can still use the cortina, but the miata will start to be fast as well, and after 25 or so, the mrs will be the fastest

Best way I've found to increase money is working the models.
Get 100-200 models, either by racing or cruising, then work them. For example, I have 200 import models right now. I just spent 50 credits working them. They sold 500-some calanders. Instant grand.
Take 200 IMs and spend 200 credits. An easy $5,000+.
Just don't run out of calanders, or you will lose a LOT of IMs.
Pimp factor is increased by mods. As my car shows (I'm completely stock, from my visual description ;) ), they don't have to be rice mods.

And dyno tuning isn't real hard...just takes a little bit of trial and error, sometimes. I tend to get it between 95 and 97% of ideal power and call it a day.
