Dodge Stealth R/T vs Mustang GT

Yesturday I picked up StockSpyder from work. As we pull out of the driveway, a Dodge Stealth R/T drives down the street.

Spyder" Hey there's that guy with the Stealth thats always talking about how fast his car is. He always brags dood.:
Lilghoust" U wana run him."
Spyder" err..ok if u want"

I shift down and chase the guy down. I pull even with him. The car looks pretty nice. He know whats up and we both jam.. and I pull pretty hard on him at 2nd gear..redline it to about 60mph..shift up to 3rd still pulling. Meanwhile, Spyder is laughing his ass off. I slow down because there is a curve coming up. And the dude passes me by. I decide to just jam after him. I am 2 feet from his bumper but can't close in because of the bend. I let off the gas because I didnt want to wipe out.

At this point there is too much traffic so I really cant do much else. I stop at the light behind this guy and he nods and waves. And we call it a race.

I raced this car in Oakland by west grand and it was the fastest import out that night and I had my 94 mustang then and he got smoked hard!!!some of those cars are weak but then some are quick,never lost to one yet

I think they are just too porky. Too much weight and drivetrain loss on those suck. Good launching on AWD though. But thats about it.

Fastest STEALTH I have ever personally seen with my own eyes at a 1/4 mile track went 13.5 @ 106.

yea...Eclipse GSXs and even Ts are the fastest DSMs man...Screw the Stealth/VR4.

up here there is a great car preformance shop.. one of the guys that works there has a totally worked over, rebuilt stealth RT.... it handles so great. he has some weight reducion on it, rebuilt motor, tranny.... i dont think you could do any more to the car without making it nonstreetable... he runs 12s. such a great car. the blow off valve gave me chills and they handle beautifully (one of the reasons is because they are such a heavy car)

Now thats remark i have to disagree.....The reason why is because the 3000gtVR4 & Stealth TT is consider luxury compare to the eclipses & talon's no body wants to riced out the car.The parts is also more expensive compare to the those cars.But if you think 3000gt cant run on top end????? I'll race you buddy.I beat a bpu supra's from the roll when we race on the bridge in tampa and i mean i spank them.Not to mention that Viper GTS-(fakeR)that i smoke when i was out there and that sucker was squeezing on me too,check out the video on the the SRO.Now looks like that you have a good kill there.....congrats:)but there is a fast one out there is just that you havent ran into one!!

depend of how fast would you call fast????most of a 3000gt & stealth TT with a basic performance upgradeand a good driver would ran 12s in the 1/4mph,and if you asking about the 11second its pretty rare.....you dont see that many 11second mustangs driving around the street either,but i do know that is still more out there compare to the VR4 & R/T TT:)

I really doubt that 12 sec for a bolt on 3kgt....maybe mid to low 13s but not 12 sec...

Sorry dude even thou you trying to act as you know everything about this cars but you know nothing.A stock 2nd gen would run 13.6-13.7et's.Go to our web sites http://www.3si.org or you can check people who had run 12's with their stock turbos at http://www.3si.org/member-home/jlucius2/j2-2-turboguide.htm and scroll all the way down to the 1/4mile track times;)you'll be suprise with this 9b(our turbos) turbos we could run 12's.Fastest time was 12.3@113mph with stock turbos and stock internal no NOS.
