i just got my car bout a month ago, and i was wandering what kind of mods would be good. I've asked my racin buds at school and all they can recomend is a k&n filter and a new set of headers. i just hoped somebody with experience could recomend somthin. i got about 5000 - 6000 dollars to spend. it is hard to find things for a viper, so if all else fails i was going to take it to hennessy in houston for a 650hp upgrade(0-60 low 3's, quaters in 11, top end around 205),but that costs $50000 ,which is hard to come around at 16, so something less expensive would be apreciated. thx
damn 50 g's...you should be able to hit 11's a lot cheaper then that. I doubt svp spent 50k on there yellow type r and that thing runs 12's easily. Didn't you get some sort of automatic subscription with it when you bought the car? How the hella did you get a viper in the first place? what the hell? fuck...ass...shit.....now I'm pissed...lol

just so yall know, i was able to get a $95,000 2000 ACR Viper is because my family owns a dodge dealership, so we can finance it a lot easier. i went back to the hennessey site and it costs 37,500, which includes a carbon fiber body and a shit load of mods, but i am still just lookin, so any suggestions would be appreciated. thx, peace

Should have saved your money, the 2003 vioer comes out in August and runs $72,000. The 0-60 is 3.8 sec, the 1/4 mile is 11.8 @125mph. Less money and faster out the box. The new stylinh looks nicer and the car has 5oohp/500ft/lbs torque out of the box. It also weights less then the old ones.

If you have a viper I wouldn't be asking for mod ideas here. You should check up at one of the Viper websites that has a message board and ask those guys there. Vipers already come with good headers and a K&N isn't gonna do much. Why do you want to mod up a Viper anyway? I have seen them run 11 second 1/4 miles stock. My buddy has a Viper GTS he bought this summer and he's always been huge into modded cars (Had a 10 sec 93Mustang, NOSed 99 Vette and now the viper which he won't touch.) I have raced his Viper when he first got it. I love the car. My only gripe about it is that it's exhaust note sounds like an import..only with actual power
