91 civic tranny swap

I have a 91 civc HB DX I know the si tranny and the one that comes on the zc have shorter ratios. Will these trannys go on to my engine. and what will i need? meaning will my current clutch work?

Yes those trannies will work, all trannies with the L4 designation will fit your engine.

Will your clutch fit?---if the tranny is 90+ it will
the older trannies have like two less teeth on the spline.


you should search for a ZC tranny with LSD, they are rare, but do exist. you will know an LSD equiped tranny by its designation on the bell housing next to the tranny model number (just to the left of the L4 designation)
