its the biggest pile of crap. the power loss problems still not been diagnosed and aside from the 5-6 repairs ive done recently now the peice of shit needs a front left wheel bearing too... GRRR.

i cant wait till december comes so i can buy a decent freakin car then sell this pos and drop all the money from it on the new car.

im thinkin either a bmw or a mercedes but if anything else catches my eye ill have a look. definately want rwd and atleast 2 liters. gonna try and get a 4 door saloon.. no more of this hatchback bullshit.

err... ive always hated dinky cars. i had an e30 bmw before this. it was a pos but i liked it when it worked.

ive also been considering some sort of turbo deisel. wouldnt be a bad starting platform. tons of torque stock, up the boost and viola.

well, now that you mention it, the suzuki swift/cultus GT is a great car. takes well to boost and the 1.3 DOHC is a great engine, with the right mods that is. a pal of mine has his running 165 HP at the wheels. its prolly the fastest swift here in alberta.
and only 1951 Lb its a great auto cross car.

another fellow swift owner, ran with a new VW GTi and it was neck and neck all the way.

ive also been thinking about getting something older like something made in the 70s or early 80s.

i remember my first autocross, i was keeping up to an integra GS-r. i really don't know how i did, but i did. all that i have done to the suspention in my firefly is the H&R sport springs and factory swaybars. we even had the same tires. for me its not about gas milage, its just about having fun with it, which i do.

and the only other fiesta id ever own is a fiesta rs turbo. 130bhp stock. they can be taken up to 200+bhp quite easily too.

A - i never said im a badass.
B - i can spin the wheels, on a dry road, with bigger and wider tires than stock.
C - stock vs stock a fiesta can match a focus on just about any corner. obviously if my fiesta tops out at about 125mph i cant take a 130mph corner but besides that there aint anything in it honestly. ive chased many foci through the various backroads and not had any problems keeping right on its ass.

so like i said before... spare the bullshit and if you dont have anything nice to say... shut you damn piehole.

entix brought up performance. even though i dont like the car it is the "best handling supermini" hell the ford puma is based on the fiesta. the interior is damn near the same and so is the running gear. now if the fiesta didnt handle extremely well ford wouldnt have used it as a base for a sports car. if you dont believe go check out any uk site with road tests on cars.

dan, you have to look at from your cars perspective, your twist beam suspention will never handle a turn at 130 MPh, you just think your going that fast. get a friend to take a few pics of your car doing this so we all can see.

if you're stuck with the car you have, stop thinking about getting a JRSC on that thing and learn how to drive in a proper environment, like at an autocross or something. racing on the street is still gay, no matter what you drive.

oh, and one more thing, i'm 2fucking9 years old

an sr20det into a 240z? someone wasted alot of time and money. Actually Swifts are pretty quick cars... not fast... but quick, and have decent handling. however, your wasting your money if you dont get the turbo model. BUT remember we are talking about fiestaR here... Ninja

the turbo model only has about 15 Ft/Lb extra torque and less then 10 extra Hp. after all its only a three banger turbo. its really not all that hot.

i should come down again next year and run in a few autocross' next summer, greg can make the run up from so cal and we can put together an SRO autocross team.

For you ppl dont know how fast a Swift GTi is, i have one at about 9 yrs ago, and im eatting all 2 liter NA i can see on street.. no matter at corners and straight. Its a very fast little car.

and whats wrong with changing cam timing, backpressure on the exhaust? every car can do that with some performance jump. My good old Evo V did that, my first car..a Civic did that, and even my uncles Mercedes S 500 did that. whats your point? unless its a total rice product.

back to the topic. i would say a Saab is nice, always love them. If you can afford it.. get a new 5 series..
