Well, my uncle's Integra came with pin stripes all around the car. These are the really thin pin strips that start from the front fenders and go through the doors till it meets the rear fenders. It's also on the trunk.

Personally, we think it looks ugly to have pin strips on a nice 1994 Integra. We're planning on removing it like any ordinary sticker, but we'd like you advice. What precautions or steps should we take to remove the pin stripes without damaging the paint?

Thanks in advance.

Pull the pin stripe off (caution, paint may be faded). Use your finger nails and take your time. Try doing it out in the sun so the metal on the car gets hot. You might also try a hair dryer if it doesn't come off very eaisly but only get the metal ho to the touch, not enough to burn. Don't use a razor of any kind. After removing the stripe use an adhesive remover like 3M or some other wax remover and wipe down the area where the pin stripe was. Wash & Wax, though you may have to do some buffing as well if it is faded to get the paint to match.

I'm pretty sure there will be some adhesive or residue that will stay on the paint. Is rubbing alcohol recommended? I'm worried it might also wipe of the clear coat because it's so strong.

just go to your local parts store and buy some adhesive removal. It cost 2-7 bucks. its well worth the money because its cheaper than a new paint job

WD-40 WILL WORK TO AND IT WONT DAMMAGE THE PAINT OR CLEAR COAT. MAKE SURE YOU USE A SOFT CLOTH.
