What the hell is it with you and Beetles lately?

If it's just a commuter car, get a Honda Insight or Toyota Echo or something. You just don't see many with neons and a bodykit.

Join the lemming crowd and buy an older honda civic. Dont expect to get too many compliments from people over the age of 15 though.

If you have the tools and know how then yes, you probably could. I don't think anyone chould ever pay to have a body kit put on.....

Uh. Those cars are slow actualy. (We're still talking stock here you 5ers.) And they're somewhat ugly. However they're probably better looking than the japanese imports from the same year.

Anyway. The reccomendiation here is basicaly "don't." You can't make a cheap car look like anything other than a cheap car. Simple. Try a car with heritage or something. Porsche 944 (slow as fucking shit), Porsche 924 (same deal). 80s Jags. 80s Benz. It won't be fast. But they'll be nice on the inside and hey. You've got a Benz right?

Dont get a porsche . You will be dumping a lot of money for repairs etc. Why do you need a car to ooo and aww over anyways, especially considering your 4k dollar budget.

Oh be bloody quite. A 924 shares a huge amount of parts with VW, and a 944 NA is as cheap... maybe cheaper, to maintain than a DSM.

You should be able to get a good condition 944/924 for 4 grand. I'd go with a 944 NA myself... looks better IMO. Either way, go visit www.autotrader.com and do a search for your area at 0-5000 and see what you come up with.

I have a 96 toyota camry, v6, XLE, its by far not the fastest, but it could beat a lot of the low end "racers", and i haven't had any problems with it other then the things every car does...Bodykits for toyota's aren't exactly "cool" but i imagine you could make it look pretty good with the right money and time...
