Questions: About What will CHP check when i bring it in for an inspection???

Hey, has any1 here been to the california CHP. I was wondering what they look for and what they do?

I just purchase a car from the auctions, and they said i need to go to chp for me to get the title of the car.

I know they check like for stolen stuff.
My car has blown airbags, i wanna know if the check Serial#'s and things like that.

i wanna know if i can buy and use my friend's Airbags to pass the chp. since he got the jdm tray and the racing steering wheel. and no longer needs them.

I'm pretty sure you could use his airbags as long as your friend's car hasn't been reported stolen, otherwise how could cars that were in wrecks pass?

I think it would work also, but i heard CHP is pretty strick...

i think they check for "road worthiness" also.. that just means the lighting.. brakes.. safety equiptment.. turn signals.. etc.. all work properly.. basically they wanna make sure your care is not a hazard to other motorists.. and that no parts have been illegally altered that will break emissions laws.. CA is strict on emissions laws..
