well after 1 month at my new job (and the untimely demise of project eg6 by some soccer mom) i finally got enough to saved to get her and i just got a quote on insurance and that made my day even more. it feels so much more responsive and controlled than an fwd civic. so far my b-day is on point (which is today). i love buying my own presents! so after i leave work its off to canada :headbang::drink:

actually i was thinking of the rb25det swap just b/c of the little things, displacement, i-6 turbo almost indestructable (with proper tuning).

dystopia - how did you get sponsored? i ask because some of the sus. parts are'nt even available here (with out speciality orders) i.e battle version, bn sports, work wheels. these companies have established a strong reputation overseas and is seems that they dont need some parking lot drifter (me :headbang: ) representing them.

my team is sponsored by a place near us they have come out and watch us drift and such and they agree to cut us a huge deal on parts. we wil lbe getting stuff for about 5-25% over cost soon.

the rb25 is a great swap. i personally have been looking at the ls1 conversion personally, they wieght little more than the sock KA and much more tourqe. i would do foot work first.

also i dont recomend the GP Sports for the street the are uber stiff... to much so. and the tein are poorly made for coilovers, JIC Zeal, Apexi, HKS, or Cusco
And most the things you have mentioned car be had here just not very cheaply.

Congrats man. Have fun and Happy Birthday.
Check out the newest Sport Compact Car. They have all the details and instructions to doing a rb25det swap.

jic = dicks.

tein = good rep. and they rebuild their stuff too, so if your shit goes out of wack, send it to them and they will fix it.

the guys at jic have always been nice to me, the quality of jjic is much higher than the TEINs

yup i can vouch for TEIN products high quality and superb customer service....

dystopia.... i think you should look into wilwood.....or if you really want to stop.. check out www.pdm-racing.com which i know you already seen....and get teh 300zx upgrade or junkyard is always good......

i am doing a stop-tech soon but i need new brakes now and don't have the time to scavenge the parts for a z upgrade i have 4 autoX this month. and the stop techs are only about $300 more than the pdm kit. and thats what don at PDM recomends

i need new wheels first though my 14s wont fit over the z or the stop-techs so i need 17... and i am gonan flare 50mm soon so flares wheels then stop techs

the teins are good quailty but compared to other coilovers i have sen the construction is a bit worse.

the welds wernt as nice and i know some people who have busted thier coils multiople times. my sponsor doesnt carry them anymore due to many problems in race applications with them.
