high flow injectors wont help unless you have something to use the extra flow, like a turbo or super charger or major head/intake porting. Best band for your buck is going to be an exhaust (full exhaust, header, pipes, cat, muffler), intake, a cam, chip, and nitrous. That'll get you moving.

Iceman was a nice addition to mine, then header/exhaust

From a fellow Neon owner:
Iceman intake
BlackDog header
Thermal R&D exhaust
AF/X ECU
Better torque convertor
Crane Cam
Modern Performance Throttle Body
That should be enough tot keep you happy for a while. If you really want some get up and go, install a Nitrous setup as well.

www.neons.org and check the classifieds. Guys are off loading their N/A neon parts so they can have money to go buy SRT-4's.

What you should do is get some 1.22 transfer gears. Shorter gears ratios will make you automatic quicker before you attempt to put in a higher stall torque converter because you will not have the power for the TQ. IMO you are better off with a MTx, & the following: CAI, long tube header, less restrictive muffler, & a crazy port job with a crane #12 or magnum cam.
