Normally I don't post my kill stories because they have no real meaning to the US crowd, but this one is pretty good.
I am driving around in the local area after midnight and I head up to the area around us where the Street drags ussually are running. So I park at the local meeting spot and nobody is out, there are a few of the japanese locals sitting there and they are just bullshitting. I fire up the Skyline and head back out on the street looking for something to run. As I pull out of the parking lot a 89-91 Supra comes flying through the lot and turns around and heads after me. Cool I thought I wouldn't mind running another supra (2.5 litre twin turbo). So we head down to the drag area and pull into the sidestreet. In japan you rarely challenge another person, you just pull out onto the street and wait for any challengers that may pull along side you (this is where I usssually take an ass whipping from a GT-R or a RX-7). So I roll out there and this black Supra comes out, with a buddy, another 89-91 TT. (2 for the price of one I think to myself). In this location there is no flagger, there isn't a traffic light you line up as close to even as possible, rev out and take off. So there we are, all lined up nice and pretty, and I wait I let the two supras launch and get about a 1/2 a car on me before I go. The Skyline takes off and gets a little wheel spin but its Ok. Full boost comes in around 3200 RPM and I am rolling. By the time the car shifts to 2nd (automatic) I am already a car length ahead and still pulling hard. Both Supra's are pulling further and further away in my rear view mirror I hit 3rd and they are both back at least 4-5 car lengths now and not getting any speed. So I roll back to the meeteing area and pull around the side, the two Supra's pull up to the front and I get out and walk over. I introduce myself and take a quick look in the car that chased me down. The guy is already complaining about something as I was walking up but I want to say hey and talk about the race, being a good all around guy that I am. Well the introductions are done (they were both americans) and the guy that chased me down just shakes his head at me. He begins talking to his buddy about how he beat him, and totally ignores me standing there. So rather than start an argument or anything I just walk away.
I am still shaking from the adreniline rush (you know what I mean the cold chill style whole body shake) And a buddy of mine pulls up. He tells me he was at the light and saw me drop the ass whipping down on the other two and shakes my hand.
The big thing for me is that I am basically stock. Big exhaust, High flow air filter, Super AFC and a Boost controller set to 14 lbs. All this on a weak ass 2.0 litre.
The cool factor for me is that I gave up .5 litres to both of them, and another turbo. I know the Supra is normally listed as a heavy car, but my Skyline isn't exatly a Richard Simmons graduate either (3100 lbs) It felt good to beat a couple of basically stock cars between the three of us :)
