Actually there are alot of very good movies about chinese gangs, you just have to read the subtitles.... In fact there is one series about a chinese gang with morals... kinda weird and at the same time realistic and good to watch... its called go wak ji... sorry dont know what the english translation is so you can search kazaa for it, ryan might know what im talking about... they have a whole series for it.

i have seen alot of brutal police activity as well during my time in cali all kind of drug units gang units whatever. alot of them on foot too just walking around the hood. they were in plain clothes with police vests on. i once pulled up to my friends hosue in borad daylight and there was a cop standing there with a ski mask on weapon drawn. actually it was a sub machine gun not a 9mm. no shit. i dont know the name of it. seems the neighbors there were druggies and the police came in an unmarked old van and busted the door in. iw as like oh shit when i pulled in dudes drive. the cop kinda panicked at first cuz i had a banner from my crew on my windshield he thought i was there to buy prolly. crazy crazy shiet.

I have heard of bulldogs before from Fresno but I never thought that they were that big until I did a couple of research about Nortenos and Sur, They were mention lots of times.

Agree with sprinter... actually, in the case of say mexican gangs. Alot of them are born into that life style, in not like they had a choice. Barrios (neighborhoods) are very tough places to live, striken by poverty and crime... you are either a victim or a victimizer, there are rare exceptions for anything in between.

death, prison, fights, shooting... its all just an expected part of life. You give a person who grew up poor and had nothing his/her whole life a chance at money and fame (or infamousy in this case) and its almost guaranteed they will take it.

There are a few exceptions of course, Ive meet guys who grew up in the gangs but one day decided they wanted to clean up thier lives and do the right thing.... and did it. now they work with the gang youths trying to help those that want out of the life style too. Ive also met the victims who chose to go a different route then the gangs and seen what could happen to them... and believe me, what you see on movies or in the media can not even compare to what is going on in real life. -Ninja

It is... but put yourself into there shoes for one day of where they lived and the nieghborhood that they live in. It is very hard to be apart of the gang if you live around it. Especially if you have no Fathers, Family, no money etc etc..

Most of my family is either dead or in jail.......if people knew whos daughter i was ( which is why i have my mothers maiden name) i would probably have had more issues in my life than i already did

im not proud of these facts, but im proud of who i am and where i come from regardless..i dont think people should be ashamed of their backround, its made me who i am today
