so i was leaving school and heading to work and i was behind this newer ex... lowered, rims, exhaust from what i could tell. i started to wonder how my tired-used-to-be-nos'd-original-clutched-little 4 door corolla would do. and what do ya know the civic hits a red light, no one is around so i dart around next to him. he looks over since my car is pretty low on black 14" steelies and has a really low exhaust note (combo of 20 dollar turbo muffler and exhaust leak). oh yea, i got Ford Racing stickers too, hehe. i give him a rev and nod. he responds. light turns green and i get a cool launch (thanks to my slipping clutch) and i take my motor up to 6500, redline is at 6200, whoops! no biggie though, this thing used to see 7K all the time. i get a car length between us and i'm already laughing to myself. chirp second gear (surprised i can still do this) and he pulls up a little so there's about half a car between us. take it to red and shift into third and i start to pull! i'm laughing out loud now. i tap my brakes and slow down wince i'm goin 75-80 in a 35 zone and 5 seconds later this fool flies by me and waves his hand out the window like he won! what a bitch, oh well, it always fun driving the shit outta my corolla.
