281 vs 302

This guy drove up to my work while I was taking a smoke break. He rolls in in a 1967 Mustang Coupe with flows and 302 badging on the side, chrome 17 Cobra R rims, and Cherry red paintjob. The car looked absolutely beautiful. It was very well taken care of and from the looks of it, fully restored.

After he does his business, he comes out of the office and I compliment him.

Lilghoust:"hey man, nice ride dude. I love that color."
302guy:"thanks man. What do u drive?"
Lilghoust:" I have a 2000 Model GT"
302guy:"oh 4.6 eh. Thats cool. I dont like the 4.6 motors, too weak. My 5.0 has taken out a few of you 4.6 guys"
Lilghoust finishes cigarette, flicks it on the ground and looks at the dude: "There is a strip out back here"points to the back of the building "You wana show me what your car does man? I havent ran a 302 yet"
302guy: "sure, I would love to show u what an old 302 can do"

I fire up my 4.6 rev it up a lil, letting him hear my Bassani X pipe, and lead him down to this straightaway behind my work. The truckers who work there stop for a second anc check out whats about to happen. They know whats going down, I have tested out my car here before.

We line up. On 3 dude. 1...2...3! I take off. Absolutely no wheelspin, chirp second, 2 car lead, top of 3rd, 4 car lead. I start slowing down at about 100mph and the bastard is not stopping!! He does a fly by and takes off. What a prick!!

I just go back to work and get bitched at about my extended cigarette break. Oh well, least I had a good run.

That's not cool. Mustang guys aren't supposed to talk shit to other Mustang guys. They are supposed to be like family. I know what sounds corny but Mustangs have a following where it doesn't matter who the driver is because owning a stang is enough to instill a sense of friendships. I have chated up with dozens and dozens of Mustang owners at lights, gas stations, parking lots and some cruises. Mustangs are the only car I won't talk trash about.

Hey LETZ_RUN, this was in Oakland, but there was not S/C on the car, I would say he was running like low 14s with it. And no it didnt have welds on the back. On the front windshield he had a vizor saying race 'n rock or something like that...

when we first see ghoust hes leaning aginst the wall with one leg up, and a cig hangin off his lip. hes all dressed in work suit, and got gelled hair and hes clean cut.

when the guy drives by hes hot rodding around the parking lot.lol

when they exchange words they both look mean but ghoust looks meaner.(also what i said above)

Then i see ghoust go to his car and rev and kinda warm up the tires and the other is hot rodding again.

when u line up for the racing part, people gather around to see whats happening, and go in silence. theres some boxes and big trashcans on the side of the walls. theres also a little puddles around here and there around the strightway(to make it more movie like)

when they take off ghoust is pulling slowely and it gets kinda bumpy(movie style) and ghoust whopps him and he does his fly by.

now thats what i really see, now that i had time without beening hurried to go. lol ghoust u should make like an amature movie and like ill be the director. lol j/k
