3/9-3/10 friday night/saturday morning, i was on automall and saw an is300 pulled over, later i see the guy @ the chevron on automall... he got a ticket for illegal taillights for his stock is300 lights... can he do something about discrimination or the law not knowing anything... because thats not right getting a ticket for OEM.... oh and that same night a cop was complaining to my friend about his civic hatchback not having a filter... wow, i didnt realize cops didnt know that on a stock intake the filter is inside a filter box... how much does traffic enforcement have to know, before they go out on the streets???.. because with these incedents.. im kinda scared i might get a ticket for having my street tires mistaken for drag slicks or stock exhaust mistaken for aftermarket...

yeah, all that guy has to do is go to the manufacturer and get proof that its oem equipment, but what he should have done was tell the cop that its dot approved and to check the numbers.my friend has an audi s4 tt and he gets rolled for his headlights all the time, but theyre oem too.

Usually the only reason people get pulled over for this kind of stuff is because the cops don't like what they see. I know several cops and it's true. Some are just die hard domestic lovers who will pull over an import just because it's an import. There's a saying that I've heard from cops: "If you can't find a reason to pull someone over, you're not doing your job right." Don't get me wrong, though, not all cops are a**holes... just a select few.
