well, on my way to the mall i decided to take the scenic route today with a friend. we got on this road and stopped on the red. the road ahead is real fun, just short of a 1/4 m. straight and then come some long twisty corners, 4 to be exact.
anyway, a white tsi pulls up along with with a black civic with an unbelievably loud fart pipe and a wing that belongs on a supra!?. well, my friend was like "damn, look at the talon." i looked cause i was just kinda spacin out and revved at him for some fun (i'm 99% stock)wanted to see if the ALC really worked well. to my surprise both of them revved back quick and i was like allright lets do this. as soon as that green lit up, i had a decent launch and the talon got ahead about 3/4 of a car and the civic was right on my ass in the other lane. round 3k i pulled pretty quick on the talon and kept about 2 cars up until the turns came.
i kinda went into the first turn a lil fast and the tail kinda stepped out a bit but nothing serious. the civic was no challenge from there but the talon was just a car behind now. second turn was a lot easier and the talon was losing a lil bit of ground when we were goin around 80 in a 30. 3rd turn came up and i could feel how it kinda banks a bit and leaned into the inside lane. the last turn caught me outa nowhere so i braked a lil more than i should have and the talon was right next to me by then. and real soon another straight road came up and i pulled away from the talon and just let off the gas by the time i was about 3-4 cars up. and braked real hard for the red light ahead. funny thing was we saw the civic come by after 30sec. and the guy in the talon just gave me a thumbs up and pointed at the civic and smirked, and took off. i took a left and felt really jittery cause i havent ever gotten into anything like that with another car.
man, now i wanna take some classes this summer and get better, i know i could've done better than that and i need to buy some cones, gotsta learn to drift reeal good, hehe. but i gotta give it up to the guy in the talon i had a lot of fun racing through there. as for the guy in the civic i dunno but i'm guessing he gave up when the twistys came up.
