LOL that'd be pimp...could we paint it like...a bright yellow with a aquatic graphics/stickers...maybe get a carbon fiber anchor...and some neons around the rails...tint all the windows?

This is better than a crappy "through-deck cruiser".... It's got a real angled flight deck and cat to recover and launch fixed wing aircraft... the pictures on the site show it doing flight ops with A-4's.

The price IS suspiciously cheap, though, even for a hull built at the end of WWII. Some of the design features (no deck-edge lifts, for example) are a little dated, too.

I want to rig the launcher to send him off and the landing cable modified to being him back for another shot.
I have no idea how long a Focus will float, but that way we won't have to care..

I see wake boarding and water ski rentals by the hour with at least 200 at a time.
We could also do rear wing and spoiler contests with the catapult.
I see winners for highest, longest, and most time afloat.
We can vary the power of the launch to even up the competition by vehicle weight (yes motorcycles too)and have an unlimited class for PROS.
We can also do a variation of "OVER THE LINE" and have racers run from 1 end of the deck to the other with the line at the end. The fastest is the winner, unless you go over the line then you not only lose the round but we won't have to wait for the loser to get out of the way.
If you are riding with somebody, we can even do foot races with about 50 at a time. For the catapult event we would have to require that you provide your own beach chair.
If the crowd is too big, we also could do it as a made for TV deal.
When do We start?

Wont you want the anchor to be heavier??? unless you want to take the blame when everyone wakes up and their aircraft carrier is drifting off, but wait its tricked out with it CF anchor lol

I say CF propellars, so itll be easier to spin em....the faster they spin the faster itll go, just a thought, and YOU GOT MY $1000 juss get it from 44,999 other pepo then ill send mine in.

I saw on the discovery channel once that once you fuel one of those it doesent have to be fueled for another 50 years. How about some NOS???Does anyone know its 1/4 mile time or 0-60 time 5-10 mins?

tell the truth my dad was talking about the first ship's engine he worked on (same as WWII sub engines) and they had alternate cam profiles for forward and backward. seriously :D but the horsepower was more then 100hp lets just say they had the ship covered with those go fast stickers...

this would be so cool. Could u imagine having a whole aircraft carrier to ureself (and the thousands of other people who contributed) I'm sure u could rent it out and get all the money back. Refueling it would prob cost close to as much as it is to but the ship. couldn't imagine maintenence costs for that biznatch.
