Hello everyone,

I need some help with my car. Its a 1993 Honda Civic CX. I have recently put in my JDM-spec Civic SIR B16 Motor. I have everything in already. I have checked and double checked to make sure all sensors and hoses are hooked up. Problem is my car is not throwing any sparks to ignite the fuel mixture. Please help.

HERE ARE SOME COMMENTS:

1. Engine cranks and wants to start, just wont start up.

2. When first started, there were sparks, then it died and no more sparks.

3. Spark plugs are new, gas is filled.

4. I NEED HELP BAD!!!!

THANKX!!!!!

CHeck all your ECU connections, especially the ground that goes to the thermostat housing on the back of the block.

I had that problem when I did my swap, two days it took me to find that stupid connection..

start at the coil, if it gets spark move to the cap and rotor, if they get spark its got to be your wires. Just start at the beginning and do all the checks.

You migh be missing this small black box. I remember this one car 92 civic and he did an engine swap. The mechanic coudnt get any sparks and found out that they were missing this one little thing. CAll Vizions autoworks and Design there the one that solve the problem. Ask for Frank the owner and his # is 209-466-8806
