Hey, I just wanted some input. Theres an Integra by my house that is a 1995 SE, 166k miles, for $5500. Everything else looks good on it. Just those miles are so high. But I was thinking of buying the car and swaping a H22 into it. What do you guys think? I have like $11,500 to work with to buy/make a newer car. Everyone think I should go with it?

Get that SE. H22 is too heavy. Just do an LS/VTEC and have it fully built, Bore it out to 2.0, get a S&W Stroker kit, slap on ITR internals, and a good clutch and motor mount and a good ecu. It should cost around $3,000 to $4,000. Youll be satisfied with the performance. I just race my co workers 2000 GT and I took him out 2 out of 3
H22 is heavy, and a bitch of a swap. You could put all your $$$ into the engine and swap. Thats hoe tough it is. It will fit, and the torque is great, but you will have no $$$ for aftermarket parts. Its all preference though. If its strictly a drag car, go with the H22, but if you want to autoX it, it will throw your weight ditribution off way too much. Its all about what you want the car to do.
I was thinking about the H22 swap, but my friends talked me out of it for the above reasons. You could get a GSR engine....instead of the LS Vtec thing. In my opinion, it will be more reliable, but i have no experience with it, so i'm not exactly sure. If you did the LS Vtec thing, there would need to be a lot of internal work(i think).
In conclusion:
H22
- lots of torque
- Heavy, throws off balance of car
- Bitch of a swap
LS/Vtec
- Good power and torque
- Questionable reliability
- Internal work needed
GSR
- Good power and torque
- Good reliability
- Extra $$$ for aftermarket
Its all on you man....just my .02
Peace:D

Well, the only reason I was leanin H22 is because of the low price of the engine. I looked into Ardperformance, heres the prices I was comparing.
B16A2 $3000 Too small of engine, I want more torque
B18C1 $4300 Too expensive for what it is, I could just buy a stock GS-R
H22 $3100 Cheap, torquey, but hard to install.
Also I want to drag race as well as road race, so I want something with a lot of power. We'll just have to see if I get that Integra, its a hard decision for me. :) I dont want to be buying a car that will sit in a shop for the first 2 months I own it, I want to have something to race in April.
