Well we were on our way to a buddys cottage in fenton MI and heading up 75 right where it starts to get curvy when my boy Rock comes up on a 95-96 Z28 in his 97 cobra. As I'm following in a V6 camaro we kept getting blocked by traffic and didnt see it that great but they took it from about 80-140mph about 5 times in between traffic spurts. I have to say i was impressed how well the Z28 pulled at 110+mph. I would think the DOHC cobra would have the better top end. All in all a good race, when we finally caught up in the V6 we waved and exited. Then wouldnt ya know on the way back to college in TN I was drivin my dads 88 dodge lancer shelby and saw a 89 GT goin pretty hard 80+mph and we played for a while doing spurts from 70-110mph and for some reason i pulled on him easily like he wasnt even trying right when i got into boost in 5th gear. Kinda disapointing, it shoulda been close. Are the automatics in those GT's bad for acceleration at high speeds? Oh well at least we had a lil fun this weekend.
