I'm about to buy an engine 1.6 V-tec for $250 (the engine is running in a 1994 V-tec civic). I wanna rebuild it even though it only has around 90,000 miles (it had a turbo for some time though). I'm going to port the heads and the intake manafold, but not so much that i need to get bigger injectors (I dont want to buy a new fuel system) Can you guys tell me about how much will it costs to replace all the parts needed to rebuild?
Also, what parts do I need to replace for upgraded performance? Thank you for the support.

Keep the Racing on,,,,,=0).

you might wanna throw in new valves with a fresh valve job, new forged pistons(that way you have that much more potential if you decide to go turbo or nitrous), possibly a new crank and rod7main bearings, although it may not need a new crank but definately freshin up all the bearings. all your major seals will need replaced. you could probably do a good clean rebuild without too much heavy modification for under a grand. good luck:)
