OK, should I get the the 240sx or not. Its going to be my first car and all, I already know how to drive a stick shift so I am fine with that. Can I make this into a good car or is it justa waste of my time. Remember now, I am newbie.

Yeah it would be a good first car if dont get snow in your area. Cause it will be a bitch in winter. Also what do you plan to use it for ?

I'm not into imports really but 240's are fairly nice... RWD plus like T_MO said sr20det potential.

They have good drift potential and wouldn't be a bad first car... not mind bendingly fast out of the box but not a turtle either... would be a good starting point... or more depending on how far your enthusiasm will take you.

Good luck on whatever your choice is.

bro your from jersey dont even bother with the RWD cars man the weather here is no joke. Sunshine 1 day, 6 inches of snow the next, sunshine the day after!

not during the summer. I am from south jersey... we don't get as much snow as north and if we do its one of those freak blizzards.

I say get it, if it's the SE with 5lug pattern on the wheels all the better, but all and all the S14 is a great car, interior is nice, i've never driven an S14 tho, but if it's anything like the S13 you'll be fine. RWD is a little scary but just make sure you use good tires and not buy some cheap ass ones, and go easy in the rain and snow, that's all. Great car, good learner because it's superbly balanced and the back rotation is easily achieved and controlled. DET potential can get u to 200whp very easily. Get it.

SR20DET's do have potential, but swapping in those engines is illegal.

get the S14 great car man! I was looking at those too! just be careful in the winter. I had two Fox mustangs and a 98 F-150 XLT STX(One model down from the Lightning) and RWD is horrible in the Winter I recomend putting sand bags in the back. But yeah really great potienal with that car. Can't go wrong with it.

well a 93(S13) and a 95(S14) are two different body styles. Which on are you getting?

i love my 240 i dont have a hard ime in bad weather i just drive slowly and smothly

well the first thing would be to get the car suspention done properly, i would think before bodykits but thats just me...

they area great car with lots of potential for cother conering and can make decent power with an abundance of doable swaps... although learing how to drive your 240 is very important casue they are tail happy

the stock hp on a 1995 240sx is 155, with the DOHC KA24DE engine, i say get it, 240's are good cars to start out with (rwd, Nissan power, nice interior, sexy styling, and most people won't even know what it is... haha
