Poor horse. Don't feel sorry for the car. Although coming from a photographer (and a horse trainers) standpoint, the photo looks a bit fixed.

I dun know but the picture looks faked to me. For one the lighting on the horse is well... off. It should be darker considering the way the shadow falls from the car, IE the horse should be casting the same shadow... And then there's no blood anywhere on the hood of the car or windshield... There also seems to be a quality difference between the horse and the car...

Look at the reflection of the horses legs on the hood....

Actualy if you examine the reflection it actualy looks like your seeing the stuff on the hood from the same angle as the horse itself... not the reverse.

However all the crushed in stuff reflects to where the horse is... so either its a really good fake. Or its a real picture that just looks a bit fake (to me anyway). And those pictures do exist.

ive hit 4 deers in my life while driving around, 3 outta the four times there was no blood, the only time was when i ran over a deer that was hit by another car prior to my hitting it. one of the deers was sliced open by myfender as it rolled out of my engine compartment... no bloos just some fur..

lighting wall the shadow would be tweaked if there are lights behind the car (and there are) and then a flash is used to take a pic.
Light colored horse with coarse hair can reflect different from a solid black car

who cares if its fake or not though....
