Yeah, I'm in college and have time for all kinds of stuff. My secret: I transferred out of engineering :) Sure I have various projects and shit, but you just have to give it a rest sometimes and go have fun. That's whats college is all about, isin't it?

Now... Im in college, but my car is not. I would have plenty of time to race- Cal State's are a joke, but my cars are sitting in a driveway, 350 miles away.

I am in a JC, what a joke. The work is easy and reading is barely necessary if you take good notes. I got out all the time and online a whole lot. I do about 8 hours of homework a week.

<in college....mechanical engineering......i learned long ago that if i could apply every priniciple i needed to remember to MY car, i'd be set........i spend 9 months a year doing that, then the other three i spend actually putting these things into the car....i don't actually make it to the track a whole lot while i'm at school.....parties on the other hand.......:)......

Yep I'm with shady on that, My hometown is about 70 miles down South and theres no point in bringing it college since your're alreayd busting your ass off to pay for tutiton, food, rent books.....Plus everything is in walking distance or the bus....The summer is when I usually have my fun, but I grad in June and I'll be having fun all year round...Grad school is 2-3 nights a week along with a full time job requires a car........Just go to college and learn and party worry about the car until you grad then you can get a decent one :bam:

i plan my classes around race day. gotta drive 65 miles just to get the car then another 30 to race but its worth it. i'm in multimedia so there is basicly no homework thats not done in class. and the car is funded by summer job/Great parents. having a dad who is a professional mechanic doesn't hurt things either. :D

i go to a JC. most of my classes are online classes and i hardly ever have to physically go to the school, cept on saturday mornings. most stuff happens at night any ways so my schedule is usually open to do whatever i want.

as of now I don't take classes during the summer when the racing season is. There also always happens to be an autocross when I go home for fall break too.

I go to college, and no, I hardly go to race anymore and i'm only a Poli Sci major... I think last time I ran on street was before winter and last time I ran on track was back in September... *sigh*

Maybe this summer, a new clutch and an exhaust...

I just sit around here all day teaching myself computer shit. I'm trying to get my MCSE by June and then in July while I'm partying again over the summer :p I'll go for the Network + and the A+ since I randomly pick up those books and read them. I think I spend somewhere around 20-25 hours a week studying and 12 hours in class so I'm picking up a lot pretty fast. When you look back sometimes you realize you've come a loooooong way in 4 months....

It's great. I'm going to be way overqualified for the only jobs I can get and the jobs I'm qualified for will tell me I have no expereince!

God, I hate my life. :(

sniper down it gallipolis, i probably didn't make that very clear dads a proffessional mechanic in thats what he does for a living. (deisel engineer) not like some kinda pro top fuel mechanic. although the engines he work on and maintain are turboed and make 2800hp :) but yea he can fix basically anything from old to new, and do basically anything. i don't think there is anything mechanically he can't do. he can also do alot of vavle/cylider head work. his main problem right now is he still works for AEP and has to leave for three weeks at a time. when he gets home there is a ton of work always waiting. what did you need looking at?

Lol, no I'm not. I just have a lot of time on my hands. When I started in January I had never heard of Directory Services or what a GPO was. Now I've gotten to the point where I could build a decent Active Directory setup and my head is a friggin Encyclopedia of what works and what doesn't.

My instructor kicks ass though. He use to be one of the Network Admins for Toyota's biggest North American plants (I think it's in Kentucky; well, somewhere in the midwest) So as we go over the 70-### books he'll say "The book and microsoft says it can work this way. For the test learn it this way. But in the real world the only way it will work is doing something like this..."

Seems kind of ridiculous learning how to do RIS installs when only 20 or so NIC cards will actually support it (and Ghost is a bajillion times more reliable in use anyway)

unattended.txt files....*cringes* I'd pay someone to make one before I'd ever attempt it.

I *really* should study more and actually go to class, i'm pretty bad about that.

hehe.. yep.. so many papers, I had 2 fat one and 3 small one this semester, the 2 fat ones are research base and I have to read almost a dozen books extra for those papers...

I did at the start, till my grades fell hard. It's hard to find time and space to do anything right now.

i've had some cooling issues since it's been getting warmer....tried just about everything i can think of and it's still running hot.....i'm about 10 seconds from breaking down and buying a giant Fluidyne alum. unit..lol......

i used to be EE....the classes were a breeze (shit, i slept thru my last one and still got an A+...which i'm damn proud of). but like i said, i slept thru them and i wasnt interested enough in them. granted around 6 figs a year if i play my cards right is nice, but i dont need that kinda money...
i got other shit to take care of, plus i doubt i'd have much of a life as an electrical engineer...so i think i've settled on teaching, its something that i think i'd find rewarding and is hard enough to keep me entertained, plus theres very good pay if i get an advanced degree and lots of time off...shit, i'd get off @ about 2-3 every day...free summers...
and if i really really wanna go get an EE degree...i just go bust my ass for 2 more years. :)
but yeah, to answer your question, i dont have the time or even vehicle to race.:(
