Hey guys this is 98cavy's brother again I'm sick of the
other sites I been at so I'm probubly gonna post here from
now on. So I'm new here but I've been in and out of the
milpitas scene with my bro since back a little before we
all got locked down on first street in the Idst.park, wassup
to all those dudes who was kickin it with us way back hidden
in the farm for hours waitin for cops to leave then the
horses started gettin outta control ready to stampede our
asses heheh shortly after that no one went to first street
no more (about a year ago?) I drive a almost stock V6 Stang
that I'm fed up with ('00) so I'm selling it or trading it
in pretty soon for an 02 integra. I keep hearing different
rumors about it this is what I've heard so far:

-released in July '01, 2.0L (K20E) which is an all new
motor 200bhp front wheel drive built on the same platform
as the new civics the base called the RSX then the RSX
Type S (GSR equivalent) and then Type R
- 2.0L S2000 engine that is too big to be mounted sideways
so its mounted like the S2000 and is gonna be rear-wheel
drive and has been toned down to run 200bhp
- 1.8L base engine with 160bhp?
- Type R will have S2000 Engine and the Type S will run
an all new 2.0 that uses the same block as the S2000 but
with different specs
- The Type S motor and S2000 engine are interchangable and
parts such as cam heads ect can be swapped between them
- Type R will be released in 2003 with 215bhp and all new
suspension
- Type R will be a hatchback

Anyone hear anything else? I can't buy one till probubly
dec tho cuz I got speed contest and my lisence is gonna get
suspended on March 15 (and i already got like 4 tickets with
in a year) My bro drives that white GT-S and used to have
the 98 red cavalier (may it rest in pieces) hope to see you
guys around.

p.s. here's a pic

HERE'S THE 411

2.0L 200hp I-VTEC , race seats and more

The RS-X is powered by the "next generation" 2.0 liter 16-valve DOHC engine with I-VTEC
The I before the vtec means Intelligent , we still have one more system to move to confirmed from honda and thats the opposite acro. VTEC-I , and thats where the whole band will be an ever-changing VTEC point; persay even though thats an incorrect term, but accepted in the Honda community. Since anyone with a current VTEC engine , you are in VTEC at all times now , but only with 2 bands of VTEC. The "VTEC-I" will have infinite.

Now as for the I-VTEC it has a new system as well , but not that advanced yet. But running nearly 100hp per liter you bet there were some tweaks to the system. Which VTC was added in. Now I know what your thinking VTEC is VTC. No VTEC is the loose acro for (variable valve timing and electronic lift control) and VTC is another acro for (variable timing control).

What does this mean for timing advancement and the like , well basically it could mean bye bye freebie hp. And or limit major modifications.

This type of advancement most likely cant even be done as im sure they have this all computer controlled now. Which maybe in the future someone will crack the code or fid a loophole for the ECU , so they can see what can be done with this new Variable Timing Control.

Other than that , just hope and pray they dont change this version much to the showroom floor.

Why , Sporting Brembo Race Brakes , 18in 235/40's rims BBS Rim style , coupled with race harness supported seats. Titanium Shiftknob and more.

This could be something to at least please our needs for form and function , do you hear us Honda. Cause this stuff sounds good on paper and looks good in person. But even more...... it actually works when you put it to use.

But most likely well see the standard Honda Braking system. Perhaps with oversized rotors and 17's

supposedly the 2.0 is too long to mount sideways just like
the S2000 so it would be mounted long ways and rear-wheel
drive atleast thats what i heard

What I heard is the same as DaBachelor, 160, 200, 220. Supposedly, the type R is not much faster than the current ITR, maybe due 2 increased weight. I believe it is something like 0-60 in 6.1 and 1/4 in 14.1, the quarter mile is a complete guess though. I believe the new body style is more like a new civic or a paseo. I personally love the 94-01 integra style much better, but perhaps the RS-X 2.0L type R has more overall potential. Could anyone tell me if the 02 type R will have more potential than the 01 type R, because I am planning 2 get a 01 type R if one will ever be available 2 me????
THANX

also I believe the RS-X comes in manual or auto, the type S only in auto, and the type R only in stick...

Yea the RSX may look ugly right now, but in 4 years, that will be the car you would most often see at ricer contests and meets. 4realz, everyone will be driving one, and they will look dope...

The RSX is alright. In the pics I think it looks fugly because of the monstrous wheel gap. Looks like its lifted or sumthin. Lowered w/ some huge rims Its got potential. I like the fact that they got rid of the little circle headlights, I hated those.

naw, the Type S comes standard with 6-speed closed ratio
tranny

all will come only in coupe no 4-doors in the US anymore

the new integra SHOULD be lighter because its built on the
new civic platform which I believe is lighter than the
old one (correct me if I'm wrong)

160bhp will be a 1.8L RSX
200bhp 2.0L designated K20E Type-S
215bhp 2.0L designated K20R? Type-R

the type r engine wont be much more different than the
type S its just gonna be lighter with a badddd ass
suspension. and it IS an all new engine nothing to do
with the S2000 (b20)

Type-S will be released in either June or July.
Type-R will be released mid 2002 as a 2003 model.
I'm not sure but I don't think any of them will have
moonroof's anymore I hope they do though atleast for
the 2002 models

car will be marketed as NSX little brother RSX
and it's image will be changed in that ALL integra's
will be fast (Type-S and Type-R) just like all NSX
are fast.

oh yeah rear-wheel drive guys keep wishin it's gonna be
front engine front drive just like it always has been and
probubly always will be.

The RSX will only be a up to 100 lbs heavier than the 3rd gen Integ. I thought the RSX motor is jus a watered down S2000 motor. S2000 motor is a K20, the B20 is what they use in the Honda CR-V. The Type R will come out later because to clean out the bugs. If I was future buyer of a new car, I would look into the WRX more than the RS-X. Or wait for the Supra MKV (if it does come out).
