2.2l Turbo Intercooled???

Sup pepo, I was lookin under the hood and i noticed on top of the engined in big bold letters said "2.2l turbo intercooled" and i was like wut the hell is that so im askin wut the hell is it and how good is it??? oh its a 89 mazda mx6 engine and one more question how good is it compared to other cars u choose the one to compare.

2.2L means 2.2 liters, which is the displacement or size of the engine. Turbo means that the engine comes stock with a turbocharger, and intercooled means that the engine also comes with a stock intercooler.

It's not that great, I believe it only gets 145 hp and the car weighs between 2700-2800 pounds. Not the quickest thing ever.

this shit is a fun engine... i have the same type engine in my 626 and it's hittin 15.6 in the 1/4 mile... but pretty much its' just a 2.2L engine with a turbo (small) and the intercooler (small)... but its fucken fun... my car weighs in the high 3k by checking the 1/4 mile calculator its about 210 hores but reading in the repair manual it says its' only about 145... but i dont doubt the 210... peace
