ME vs 95 E-500

OK, I was heading down I-20 from Shreveport to Dallas, when a few miles past the Texas state line I see a "fast-mover". I let him catch-up, since I am only going about 75-80 mph (I-20 is 70 mph). I see it is a sweet looking Mercedes E-500 with shiny ass rims, and exhaust tips, and lowered. I was like, "HELL YEAH!" I knew he could smoke me on the open road, but the traffic was pretty heavy in places, so I ran with him. We played around a little, OK, ALOT, through traffic, going flat out in the open spots. He would take me right when traffic opened up, but I would catch back up at around 110. Then by that time, traffic would get thick, and we would have to back off again. We raced about 30-40 miles, then we started seeing cops EVERYWHERE!!!! I noticed he had a cell phone, so I called him up and talked to him for a few minutes. He was pretty cool, and we called the race on account of COPS! I don't think either of us could call it a win, since it was really hard to keep in front with all the traffic, and shit. It helped cut almost an hour off my travel time, so it wasn't just fun, it also served a purpose. The best part about it was that I had my GF in the car and she recorded about 10 minutes of the race. I am gonna try and put it on this site, if possible. I think it just might ENLIGHTEN some of you Celica doubters.

I wouldnt race in heavy traffic but light traffic u can always put the pedal to the metal...seems like these E 500s nowadays think they are faster then god.

just as a matter of clarafication there is no E-500 in the Mercedes line up.

the only 500s are the
S 500* = V8 top level sedan
SL 500* = V8 drop top
CL 500* = V8 coupe
*also come in 600 (V12) form


E class comes in 320 (V6), and 430 (V8) modles

As Tanker says, they dont make E500's, only the S & C series.

How the fuck did you get his cell phone number? At least give better details so we dont all talk shit about how you got that number.

Racing and weavin through heavy traffic is as dumb and dangerous and doin doughnut contests with a raised 4runner on dry concrete; or goin 4wheelin with your moms camry.
I dont know, stupid analygie, but nevermind.

And its pretty damn hard to get any car to 110mph in heavy traffic.

Did I mention I had it on VIDEO!!! I think I did. As soon as I figure out how to put it on the web, I will. And, yes, I did talk to him on the phone. I pulled even with him and rolled down the window and yelled out my phone number to him. Then he called me, and we talked for about 5 min. And I read the E-500 right off the back of the car, and he said it was a 95, and all he had done to it was lowered. And I just went to the Mercedes web-site and looked up a 95 E-500 and, DAMN, if it wasn't there!!!! Do some research before you say it doesn't exist!

There definitely was an E500. I just dont think a celica could stick with a 326hp Mercedes.

If you are talking about the E-class in the 1995 line-up, they should still be the square head-lights ones.

Of course those little silver numbers at the back can be changed easily with some dental floss.

I think the E55 AMG Sport pkg was never avaiable in the older E model. So my guess would be that he had a E420 model and put 500 at the rear.

Opps, mah bad. I didnt know that they made Mercedezes E500. I finally realized that after i already posted. Im the motherfucker now, :) hehe.

E500 was made on 90-94 only. this is special edition and come with flared fenders. The body is similar to other E-class, only the wider fender makes the difference.

this is a pretty quick car. Ususally run 0-60 in about 6 seconds.
