I came across some pics of my old car during its last S/C install so I decided to share. Its a 2000 Mustang GT with a Vortech S/C and a custom front mount intercooler.

it was my old car because I wrecked it! lol I was pissed because it was nearly done when I wrecked it. However, now I have a better one!

feel any difference between the 2v and 4v?
how much boost was the GT runnin?

8 lbs of boost...big difference. Instead of lag from the centrifugal charger, I have instant seat of the pants power with the roots blower on my 03. Also my times where high 12s at the best with that setup on that car. I can hit 13.00 with the Cobra bone stock!

The question: if you could do it all over again what you know now with you new cobra, would you still have gone through modding the GT and so forth or just went and got a cobra instead?

definately the cobra. especially the 03 Cobra. you cant beat forged internals if you are gonna be pumping up the boost. Also I love to attack the twisties and the independent rear suspension is a beautiful thing.

The one thing that I loved about the GT however is because it had a live axle, launching and drag racing was easy with it where as with the Cobra's IRS you really have to learn how to launch it.

Thats pretty bad ass, sorry it got torn up.

BTW with your vortech did you have to fuck with the oil pan / alter anything or was it pretty much a straight forward install?

Ive heard horror stories about vortech installations.
